Hi, I'm Sara—the founder of Poppy Design Studio.

I’ve always been curious about what’s possible when we look at something differently.

For more than 15 years, I’ve worked across residential design, modular construction, operations, and leadership development — designing homes, building systems, leading teams, and coaching people through change. While the projects have looked different, the work has always been the same: helping people create something better.

Whether we’re reimagining a home, developing a leader, or untangling a complex challenge, my approach starts with listening. I ask questions, look for patterns, and simplify what feels overwhelming. I believe creativity begins when we challenge what exists and ask, “What else is possible?”

Great design and great leadership isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about creating the conditions for better ideas, better decisions, and better outcomes to emerge.

That’s what Poppy is about: bringing creativity, curiosity, and intention into the spaces we live, the teams we lead, and the ideas we bring to life. When I'm not working, you'll usually find me pouring candles, exploring the outdoors with my husband Cody and our dog Penelope, or collecting inspiration for the next creative idea.
